WHERE: Virtual meeting on Zoom, by the Provincetown Art Association and Museum

SESSIONS: 1 Session

PRICE: $125 for members, $150 for non-members

TEACHERS: Laura Shabott with Alana Barrett

Sometimes, we just want to make art that feels larger than life. What are the elements of drawing and painting that create the desired volume and mass? Working from a model allows us to explore how to achieve monumentality through shape, line, form, and color or its absence. There are three hours of active studio work with ongoing real-time critiques. Guided exercises, one built upon the other, will show you how to go from an empty surface to a series of realized voluminous drawings or paintings. Affirming and process-based, you can use this workshop to return, learn and transform.
